Formatting and theme. Again.
...
You know, I have a real problem. I can't stop waffling back and forth
between themes and org-mode indentation styles. Sometimes I'm
convinced I want a light theme by default, other times I'm convinced I
want a dark theme by default, so I just flail back and forth
between them.
The same is true for org-adaptive-indentation. Sometimes I insist
it's a good idea! Sometimes I don't. Will I ever settle on one?
Anyway, here's another change to both of them.

Cleanup of old pre-28 cruft
...
There was a lot of cruft left over from back in the days when I was
using Emacs 26 and Emacs 27, and old versions of org-mode. This change
largely removes all of that.
